Lefton vase collection

I just love Lefton holiday figurines and have collected them for years. About ten years ago I found a beautiful vase with little delicate forget-me-knots applied to the soft pink vase. I turned it over to see if it had a mark and to my surprise it was Lefton. I had know idea Lefton made vases. I bought the vase and took it home and started researching Lefton and found that the company made everything from dishes to wall pockets and just about everything in between. The vases are fairly easy to find but difficult to find in perfect condition due to the delicate flowers attached chip easily. I have been collecting them now for ten years and I am always in search of a different shape or size.

I display them in my bathroom. I chose the wallpaper to go with my collection.

Here you can see how delicate the flowers are. The vase also has gold accents.

This one has different little flowers.

This one is my favorite for it's shape.

This one has gold butterflies.

A couple years ago I found these and just had to have them. The hand in a ring keeper and the little dish I believe is an ashtray.

I have one piece that is a taper candle holder. I put it on top of the medicine cabinet. I am still searching for it's mate.

Easter Mantel

Hippity hoppity Easter is on it's way to our house. The mantel is decorated and ready for the big day.

I used Longaberger Easter baskets and my collection of Lefton figurines.

I just love Lefton Easter animals, don't you? The lambs are my favorite.

It just would not be Easter without bunnies. I sprinkled in some ceramic carrots for the Easter gang.

You have to have a few ducks and chicks. When my older two kids were little they got an Easter duck. His name was Quackers and he was one spoiled duck. Did you or your children have Easter pets? I may have to take a trip to the farm store to see the baby chicks. Im sure my mom has room in her coop for a couple more chickens.

Leprechaun trap

Finally trapped one of those tricky little Leprechauns. Make your own St Patrick's day trapped Leprechaun vignette. This was so quick and easy. I used a large pickle jar, a Lefton Leprechaun, some dollar store moss rocks, floral grass, a few gold coins and a shiny gold ribbon.

Most of the items used I found at Dollar tree.

I just love vintage Lefton figurines. This is one of a set of three leprechauns. He looks like he is waving his hands as to be saying, help I am trapped. I hope you got a little inspiration to make your own trapped leprechaun. While you are here click on the giveaway and enter to win 4 Fiestaware shamrock dinner plates.

St Patrick's Day

St Patrick's day is near and dear to my heart. My grandfather was Irish. He passed away when I was 7 but I have very vivid memories of him. In honor of my grandfather I have done a little decorating.

On a little shelf in the kitchen a leprechaun left his shoes. I found a pair of vintage baby shoes at GW and painted them green and added gold laces. I plan to use the shoes for a leprechaun hunt for the kids. The figurine is one of a set of three Lefton leprechauns. This is the one I needed to complete the set. The others are still packed away and will make an appearance soon. The hankie with shamrocks was my grandmothers as well as the vintage post card. The moss covered rocks are a Dollar Tree find.

The kitchen cupboard holds my Shamrock, Lemon Grass and white Fiestaware. Lets open the doors and take a closer look.

On the top shelf in the middle is a vintage decanter from 1972 made by the Old Fitzgerald Collectors Gallery for Stitzel Weller distilleries. I found it at a local flea market for $2.00 I have to have any vintage Irish or Leprechaun things I come across if the price is right. The next shelf in the center is a Longaberger shamrock dish with a leprechaun blown glass ornament peeking out.

The bottom shelf has my Smith Moon and Stars pitcher and toothpick. I has several pieces of this vintage green glass. Please come back and visit for more St Patrick's decor and an exciting giveaway for St Patty's day.

Valentines Day tablescape for my grand daughter

My precious grand daughter Kali loves to come to grammies house. She always checks to see if her table is set for a tea party or special lunch.

Simple but so sweet, chocolate and flamingo Fiestaware with scarlet Fiesta bowls. I found the small soda glasses at GW and the tablecloth is just a yard of material from the fabric store. The vintage Lefton vase was a gift from my husband last Valentines day. My son is 11 now but he is such a great uncle, he and Kali will have a special Valentines party after school Friday.

This is about the extent of my Valentines decor here in our little rental cottage. I really miss my mantel in our IL home.

Mantel Monday

Welcome to Mantel Monday. Easter is fast approaching and I had to scramble to put away the St Patrick's decorations. The mantel is my favorite place to decorate for the holidays.

It has taken me several years to collect the Lefton Easter figurines. I am still in search of the brown bunnies.

Let's take a closer look. Lefton lambs and ducks. Longaberger Easter baskets.

Two more Longaberger baskets, Lefton rabbits and chicks. I hope you enjoyed my mantel.

Come back tomorrow for more Easter decorations.

                                                                               Blessings,

Luck of the Irish

Welcome back for another day of St Patricks Day decorating. Today I decorated the coffee table, tiny powder room and the coffee bar.

I wanted to keep the coffee table simple. I found the book at GW for $1.00 last week.

The basket is Longaberger and filled with chocolate gold coins.

I found this planter at a local shop last year, I thought it looked like a Leprechaun boot. I added some Dollar Store silk flowers.

This is my coffee bar, it is inside the butlers pantry. I found the mugs at Hobby Lobby on sale. I added a shamrock towel and Longaberger basket. Can you tell I love my K cup coffee?

This is my tiny powder room all decked out for St Patty's Day.

I found the two wooden shamrocks at Gordmans and could not pass them up. Another Lefton Leprechaun and pot of gold on the shelf.

I love the little sign, sounds like something my ten year old would say. Thats all I have for today. Pop in tomorrow to see the last of the St Patty's decorations, my tablescapes. The dining room table will be set and the breakfast table as well. I will also have an extra special little table all set for my grand daughter Kali.

                                                  Blessings,
                                                               Missy
